Nancy Jean, APRN, AGNP-BC
Biography
Nancy Jean is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Wound Care and Dermatology. She is from the beautiful island of Haiti and moved to Florida to be with her family. Nancy was a sickly child and that motivated her to pursue the field of medicine. She became a Registered Nurse and worked as a PCU Nurse for ten years. Due to her excellent critical nurse thinking, she then transitioned to House Supervisor at Advent Health.
Due to the training to become autonomous and be able to perform medical interventions within their scope, it is only natural to become inspired to become a Nurse Practitioner. Nancy then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing in 2018 which she attained from Florida Southern College. Nancy has also worked as Nurse Practitioner in primary care for over five years.
One of her personal strengths include compassion. A provider should genuinely care for patients and express understanding towards their physical and emotional well-being Her other personal strength is integrity. She believes that providers should act professionally, ethically, and maintain confidentiality while treating patients. Nancy stays up to date with the latest medical research and advancements by reading articles by Medscape. She regales as a problem solver and enjoys when patients share their life stories. Her advice on life is, “never lose your passion.”
