Rolando Urgelles del Toro, APRN, FNP-BC
Biography
Rolando is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Wound Care and Dermatology. He is originally from Cuba and has dedicated his life to the field of medicine. He moved with his family to Florida for the weather and job opportunities.
He has an extensive career in medicine. He started his path in the field of medicine and worked as a primary care physician in Cuba for more than 15 years. He even worked with HIV victims in Zimbabwe. This is where his passion for medicine grew, and he quickly realized the importance of empathy and honesty.
Rolando earned Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Emiraza College and subsequently his Masters of Science in Nursing from Miami Regional University. He furthered his studies with a Post-Graduate Certification as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.
One of his strengths is teamwork and collaboration. He believes that providers often work in teams. Being able to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals ensures better patient outcomes. Another strength is professionalism and integrity. He also believes that providers should act professionally, ethically, and maintain confidentiality while treating patients.
He believes that with focus and commitment, he can help patients achieve better outcomes in their medical care.
